Our FAQs

1. What is home health care?
Home health care is skilled nursing and therapy services provided in the comfort of your own home. These services are provided by healthcare professionals focused on helping you manage a chronic condition or recover from a recent illness, surgery, accident, and/or change in your medical condition.
2. Who is eligible for home health and what are the costs?
To be eligible for home health care services, your doctor is required to prescribe services to meet your specific skilled needs which may include skilled nursing care, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and/or speech therapy on a short-term and intermittent basis. Your health condition must limit your ability to leave the home rendering you “homebound”. Medicare pays 100% of home health care services for eligible patients. Private insurance companies, managed care organizations, and workers’ compensation plans may also pay for home health services.
3. How often will my home health visits be?
After a comprehensive assessment is performed by one of our healthcare professionals, we will collaborate with you and your doctor to determine a plan of care that is tailored to meeting your specific needs in a reasonably expected timeframe.
4. What are the benefits of Audubon Home Health?
